Buzz offers a variety of services; Breakfast, After-School and Holiday Club, for children aged 2 – 11 years for both term time and holiday time (open 50 weeks of the year).
Operates daily from 07.45am until 9.00am and offers your child a choice of healthy breakfasts (cereal, toast, muffins, fruit, etc) and various activities, before being taken to Cuxton Infant or Junior School or transferred to our pre-school session.
Breakfast is served until 8.30am on school mornings.
Our staff will collect your child from Cuxton Infant or Junior School, or from our pre-school session, and bring them to our after-school club, where they can take part in a variety of activities such as computer games, gardening, scooters, arts and crafts, board games, football and games, etc until you are able to collect them. We are also able to take and collect any children to any of the many clubs that are run on the school premises
Some children stay with us for up to one hour (4.15pm) after school, during which fruit and drinks are provided, whilst others stay for longer (up to 6.00pm) and enjoy a healthy light tea which we provide (ie wraps, sandwiches, beans/spaghetti on toast, jacket potatoes, pasta, fish fingers etc followed by a light dessert of fromage frais, ice cream, swiss roll, cookie) which is served at approximately 4.30pm.
Fresh fruit and healthy drinks are available throughout the sessions.
Our holiday club operates daily from 07.45am to 6.00pm, Monday – Friday, throughout the school holidays and during Inset Days at The Academy of Cuxton Schools and is open to all children aged between 2 - 11 years.
We offer a wide range of activities during the school holidays which have included cinema trips, walks in the local countryside and visits from the fire brigade to exotic pet handlers. We also offer our normal daily activities of arts & crafts, cooking activities, computer consoles, games and outside activities. We have full use of the school's secure playing fields and playgrounds.
Children can attend Buzz sessions for either morning, afternoon or all day sessions where a healthy breakfast and a light tea are provided. Children attending all day need to bring a healthy packed lunch with them, however fresh fruit, healthy snacks and drinks are provided throughout the day.
Children can come for one-off sessions or regular holiday sessions, as required.
